Red Raion and Leolandia announce partnership

Red Raion, the CGI studio specialised in media-based attractions, has announced its partnership with the Italian theme park Leolandia.

The studio produced the digital content for the museum attraction inside the park’s new area dedicated to children and families.

This new area will let children immerse themselves in a world they’ve only seen on television, allowing them to feel like little superheroes and experience a real adventure.

Previously set to open in 2020 but postponed because of the global pandemic, this is one of the park’s new signature attractions. It will feature a series of digital screens simulating the museum’s windows; they will display the world outside but with the protagonists of the adventure surrounding the building, so the park’s guests will see the mischief they get up to with their own eyes.

“Creating content for Leolandia has been a pleasure and also a huge responsibility,” said Valeria Rizzo, PR and business development director at Red Raion.

“Working with an attraction dedicated to kids is a real challenge because it’s essential that the final result matches the expectations of such a demanding audience, which desires to live a super immersive experience.

“We're proud and happy that all the young guests of this new peak attraction will get to visit Leolandia and to live an exciting, immersive adventure in the Museum."

“We were using digital technology for the first time and collaborating with a company like Red Raion was a very important added value for us,” said Enrico Ira, creative development director at Leolandia. “We've found a young and very experienced and professional team that supported us at all stages of the attraction development.”

Founded in 2015, Red Raion has a fast-growing library of licensed CGI titles and a long track record in creating custom content. The company’s titles are now displayed in amusement parks, theme parks, and FECs worldwide.
